What is it
Bioregeneration with PRP, aims to stimulate and activate particular cellular structures of connective tissue, more precisely fibroblasts, for the production of collagen. This effect is achieved with infiltrations with a special biological gel with high platelet content that stimulates fibrocytes (inactive form of fibroblasts).
Platelet-rich plasma has been used for several years in the medical field with excellent results and in plastic surgery, thanks to the experience gained over the years, today it is a tool used with great success in aesthetic medicine and rejuvenation.
The production of plasma consists in the centrifugation of blood, taken from the patient himself, to separate the blood components and finally concentrate the plasma in a small volume, in this case we can speak of autologous PRP, since donor and recipient coincide.
In order to ensure the safety of this treatment, the PRP rejuvenation process must follow a strict official protocol, and the facility and physician must comply and meet instrumental and environmental requirements.
The PRP is injected into the dermis of the patient through infiltration, once subcutaneous, the platelets release different growth factors, such as PDGF, TGF, EGF, VEGF, IGF, which interact with the tissues and stimulate regeneration, and in case of damage, healing.
It turns out to be a completely biological treatment and with the absence of post-surgery rejection.
Depending on the age of the patient we can distinguish treatments for prevention or contrast of aging
How it works
A very small amount of blood is taken, usually 10/20 cc, using a special tube for centrifugation.
The production of concentrated plasma is done in laboratories with instrumentation specifically designed to ensure proper separation and to preserve the integrity of platelets.
A very small amount of plasma, 0.01ml, is injected under the skin by multipuncture.
After 7 days there is the peak of angiogenesis, development of new vessels from existing ones, within 30 days there will be the maximum amount of active fibroblasts and within 2 months the neocollagenesis.
There are also benefits in other biological processes, such as macrophage chemotaxis, collagen synthesis and stem cell mitosis.
In addition to the face, PRP infiltrations can be performed in all areas where the effects of aging and sagging tissue can be seen, such as the neck, décolleté, back of the hands, inner parts of the arms and thighs and the abdomen.
The treated areas regain elasticity and structure, giving a fresher and younger appearance. The entire treated area has a firmer and more compact tone.
Treatment with extremely high levels of safety and completely free of contraindications.
Scars and other injuries benefit from this treatment due to the very nature of platelet-rich plasma.
